About Danarae Latin

The Beginning

Hello There,

My name is Danarae and I would like to tell you a bit about myself. My love for art started as soon as my mom put a crayon in my hand and helped me move skribbles on paper. I was never sure of my direction in life and where it would take me, however there were two things I was sure about: I would work in arts, and I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives.

The Middle

After high school I had a number of jobs. From janitorial and other cleaning services, to taking a few courses in photography as well as becoming a certified masseuse. I liked these ventures but I never loved them. Then one day tattooing fell into my lap and I decided to pursue it completely. Strange things started to happen which just pushed me in the direction of this very foreign career path. One thing lead to another, I found myself venturing to New York back in 2011 to do my schooling which lead me  on quite the adventure. I will be posting short stories about my journey in this industry and how I got there on my blog linked below.

And Everything In between

After New York, Exposed Expressions was born. Through multiple locations around Williams Lake Exposed Expressions has developed and changed over the years. From being just a small hole in the wall shop, which became more popular then I could have ever imagined, to a large expanded version, with retail and other businesses in the same location. Later, unforeseen circumstances led to the closure of the space for a number of years. This new, reimagined space is the best version yet, and I am humbled to be able to share my passion and my craft with you all, again. Thank you for reading.

Yes, $150 will be required up front to secure your spot. This amount will be deducted from the total cost.

Ex2 tattoo offers a wide range of tattoos specializing in fine line work, realism, black and grey wash, floral, mandala and color blending.

Tattoo styles which Ex2 does not specialize in large, blacked-out tattoos.

Shop rate: $150/hr. Minimum price is $150 if your tattoo takes less than one hour to complete.

Creating custom sketches can take multiple hours of collaborating with the client to get the exact piece they want. Those hours get added into the overall price of tattoo depending on size and intricacy.

Also custom sketches are NOT art pieces. The sketch is meant to give you an outline and feel for the tattoo. An art piece is fully put together and drawn out, colored and shaded to look exactly like the tattoo itself. This can be requested at cost.

The healing time for a tattoo or piercing depends on various factors, such as the size and location of the tattoo or piercing, the individual's immune system, and how well they follow the aftercare instructions provided. Generally, tattoos take about 2-4 weeks to heal if  aftercare instructions are followed correctly. You will receive information sheet  at the end of your apt.

This business is appointment based and the door is locked during hours of operation. However if you get the sudden urge for ink please call as I may have time in between clients or have finished up with a client earlier than expected.

We accept cash of E-transfer.

Things to think about before getting your tattoo.

Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential to the healing process and longevity of your new tattoo. At Ex2 Tattoo, we provide detailed aftercare instructions which we will review after your session.

Be sure to consider your activities for the two weeks following your appointment.

Planning a vacation where you will be in the sun and water? You need to keep your tattoo shaded and out of saturated water until the wound has healed.

Will you be working in dirty environments? If your tattoo will be exposed to extreme dust and airborne bacteria you need to have a plan for keeping the tattoo out of those elements.

I am here to answer any questions regarding this matter.

Before appointment

The body can be temperamental at times, so we want to set everyone up for a successful tattoo appointment. Make sure you check in with your body before coming in. Before even booking your appointment please make me aware of any heath factors you may have to ensure the safety of yourself as well as my own, (ex; diabetes, heart conditions, HIV, or any other conditions). If you are prone to allergies, taking an allergy pill before the appointment can alleviate symptoms from a heightened histamine response. This means less swelling and redness in the skin, making it easier on your skin to go longer in the appointment. Make sure you are well hydrated. More water, better skin! DO NOT COMSUME ALCOHOL THE DAY BEFORE! Alcohol thins your blood and also causes inflammation overall. Not a good mixture for tattoo day... give yourself a cheers after your tattoo, just not before! If you woke up feeling a bit under the weather or have been fighting an illness for awhile its best to stay away. Your body is already in a weakened immune system state. By putting more foreign matter into the body it will just try to push it out because it is already in fight mode.  Also I don't want  your sickness, sharing is nice but not that kind. And last but not least, EAT BEFORE COMING!!!! You want your blood sugars to be nice and balanced. Without eating, your body can go into a shock state and you could feel nauseous, and light headed. This can happen to people regardless so we make sure we always have candy and juice on hand for those cases!

Gift Cards

No, we do not offer gift cards; however, if you would like to book a tattoo for a special someone on a specific date we can arrange that!
